Tours:

  • Village Tours: there is a max limit of 20 people per guided tour through the Village at 10am, 12pm and 2pm daily.
  • The Self-Guided Whaka Geothermal Trail is open, however, visitors will be guided from the Booking Desk to site #8 on the map where you can then enjoy the rest of the trails at your leisure. These tours are available every hour between 9am and 4pm daily. Last tour leaves at 3pm.

Delta Alert L2 essentially means:

  • Masks are now mandatory in all indoor public venues e.g. when you visit our Geyser Café or check-in with our Reservations team.
  • Masks should also be worn in outdoor public spaces e.g. in our car-park or going on a guided tour.
  • Scanning is now mandatory at all public venues and record keeping is required at all private events.
  • Seating within the Geyser Café is limited and the 1-metre rule applies, even within your own bubble

For our business, operating under Delta Alert L2 means:

  • We can operate if we can do so safely as per Government Covid-Safe guidelines
  • Everyone — staff, contractors, suppliers, and clients — with cold or flu-like symptoms must stay away from the office
  • Everyone in the office – staff, contractors, suppliers, and clients – must remain 1 metre apart
  • Everyone must sign in using the Covid tracing app every day you enter the office – including when you come back in after a walk or grabbing lunch.
  • A reduction in the number of shared surfaces, and regular disinfecting of them
  • Face coverings are recommended if staff are in close contact with others
